Intro to eZ430-F2013

Throughout the first half of 2011 we will be learning how to program the microcontroller eZ430-F2013.

The software will be used is the Workbench 6.0.

Features of the micro controller:

• 16-bit RISC architecture, instruction cycles of 62.5 ns
• 16 MHz internal clock
• 1KB + 256B of Flash Memory and 128B RAM
• A / D Converter
• consumption of 220μA at 1MHz and 2.2 V
• Encapsulation with 14 ports (16x16 hardware multiplier)

Installation

1.      Open the CD of installation and execute “FET_R600.exe”, it should install the “IAR Systems Workspace”, which is the programming environment.

2.      Run "GANG430_R150.exe" which is the communicator RS232 of the board.

3.       Insert the USB device and it should be recognized, automatically installing the driver.

4.      If  it wasn’t recognized go in: C:\Program Files (x86)\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.0 Kickstart\430\drivers\TIUSBFET.

5.      Open the folder for your operating system and run "Dpinst.exe."
